Innsbruck is one of Europe’s most picturesque and charming cities, burrowed within the heart of the Alps; a city to be admired.

The Bergisel ski jump in the center of the city gives you the feeling that if you were to take it, it would launch you high into the Alps which surround the city center in all directions. In reality, it takes a mere 10 minutes to get from the historical city center up the winding roads to reach the beautiful mountain tops.
Innsbruck is complete with a quaint little Old Town which is over 800 years old and includes its famous Golden Roof, Goldenes Dachl, made up of 2,657 gold plates.

You can spend the day wandering the most colorful village of Austria and quickly be whisked up to the mountain tops for outdoor activities galore, all year round.
And once you’ve packed your day, you can retire to a hearty Austrian meal of wiener schnitzel, goulash, käsespätzle (Austrian mac and cheese), and apfelstrudel. There isn’t a shortage of bars or nightlife spots to hit with the University student filled town.

It’s a city for all hours of the day, right up my alley.
